"DONOR TRUST FUND" HELPS VELJKO

Dalibor Petkovic's  six year old child Veljko Petkovic, who is currently on the internal Children's Clinic in Niš at the Department of Hematology, was received by Boban Dzunic, president of Municipality of Palilula. Small Veljko urgently needs bone marrow donor of blood group A positive thereafter, and subsequent surgery in Italy. President Džunić promised adequate financial support from the municipalities "donor fund" to cover the costs of travel and accommodation, and costs of escorts of the mother of boy in Italy. It is expected that the Serbian Health Insurance covers the cost of operations, but it is much more important at this point to find bone marrow donors.

PRESIDENT VISITS SMALL MILICA

Palilula Municipality, after months of similar activities, launched a humanitarian campaign called ''Let's help our children'' on 05th of July 2013. Action is part of the socio-humanitarian programs Palilula which aims to support families who are faced with the problem of providing adequate conditions for the health and safety of children. Within this activity, the president of Municipality of Palilula Boban Džunić visited the family Mijajlovic. The family is trying to find a solution to medical treatment of their eight year-old daughter , Milica Mijajlović for a long time, who also suffers from asthma, had an intervention on the heart, and psychomotor development retardation.

COMMISSION APPROVES FUNDS FROM "DONOR FUND"

In terms with the decision of the Municipal Commission, the eligibility and criteria for awarding financial assistance to vulnerable families with seriously ill children, which was established by the City Municipality of Palilula with the campaign "Let's help our children," donations in the amount of RSD 40,000 were paid to the family Mijajlović in order to support treatment of eight year old Milica, suffering from congenital heart disease, asthma, and the residual psychomotor development. By considering the entire enclosed documents, the Commission found that the family Mijajlović meets all the criteria for appropriate assistance. Tanja Mijajlović, mother of  little Milica is unemployed, her father Radoslav is retired. They have six children living with them in the community and grandfather who has no income.

DONORS WITH “BIG HEART” AND MUNICIPALITY OF PALILULA ARE HELPING CHILDREN

In the Media Centre Nis, Palilula Municipality presented the first results of humanitarian action ''Let's help our children''. After several months of touring activities of families in the field of humanitarian action and organization of donor evening, president of Municipality of Palilula Boban Džunić with associates thanked the donors who paid first donation. This action is part of the socio-humanitarian programs of Municipality of Palilula which aims to support families faced with the problem of securing the conditions for the proper care of their children. The action "Donor Night" raised the funds in the amount of 150,000 dinars.
